Clayton is the other half of our gallery's painting family. His wife, Alicia, and he share the passion of artisitc expression in unique ways. Information on Alicia can be found on her own page.

Clayton was born the second child in a family of nine children in the small town of Groton, VT. If asked, his mother would surely tell you that as a child, he was always sketching or had some tool and was making something.

After leaving the Air Force in the early 60's, he started doing oil paintings of landscapes and places that were special to him during the early part ofhis years. The bulk of his work, in fact, continues to include familiar places, people and animals.

With the exception of a short period of training to learn some of his skills, Clayton considers himself a mostly self taught artist.

His working career encompasses designing, engineering and the production of furniture. Many of his earlier years were spent under the watchful eyes of two trained old world craftsmen who taught him how to make traditional and heirloom furniture. His interest in furniture continues and is available for custom commission work.

Clayton's work, like that of his wife, may also be seen at the WrenOvation store in Bethlehem.
